The Press is located in the eastern part of
Cambridge City near Coldham's Common.
Approach by road on Coldhams Lane. Coming from the west (past HomeBase/Asda on the right at roundabout),
turn very sharp left immediately after the railway bridge, at the Greyhound Pub on your left.
Go across the branch railway line at the unmanned crossing and the Press is 50m. further, on the right.
If approaching from the east on Coldhams Lane, the Greyhound Pub is immediately after the
traffic lights at the entrance to Coldhams Common on the right and Cromwell Road on the left.
Go over the lights and turn immediately right before the bridge.
From outside Cambridge, the easiest approach by road to the Press is from the A14.
From London, take the M11 north and leave at Junction 14 taking the A14 east. Take
the third exit on the A14, south into Cambridge (soon after the A10/Ely exit).
From the north on the A14, branch east on the A14 when you get to Cambridge, and take the third exit,
south into Cambridge, as above.
In both these cases drive through
Fen Ditton village as far as the T-junction at Newmarket Road (A1303)
- about a mile - at traffic lights at the end of Ditton Lane. Turn right at the lights, then left in 100m. at the
roundabout (down Barnwell Road).
Follow Barnwell Road to the next roundabout (Sainsburys on left). Coldhams Lane continues
on the left past the airport, but turn right (west) - third exit - onto Coldhams Lane at the roundabout.
You are now approaching the Press on Coldhams Lane from the east.
Approaching Cambridge from East Anglia, from the east on the A14, take the first exit signed into Cambridge (A1303 south). Stay on
the A1303 past Cambridge Airport and the Ditton lights,
turning left at Barnwell Road at the
second roundabout. Then proceed as above.
There is ample parking space at the Press.
